VBS 2012: We Are More Alike Than Different

We are excited for the upcoming week of Vacatio Bible School (VBS) and Countryside Street Kids (CSK).  Our theme is "We Are All more Alike Than Different" and just wanted to remind you of some important information for the first day:
CHECK-IN
Everyone needs to check in at the main entrance (Foyer) on Monday morning. Your child’s name will be on an alphabetical list by what grade they are going into. Check-in and drop off your donated items. After check-in, Vacation Bible School children (4 years-4th grade) will go to two different sites…Pre-school and Kindergarten will meet in their classrooms, 1 st-4th grade will meet downstairs in Memorial Hall. Class lists will be posted outside of each room. Countryside Street Kids will go directly to the Chapel. Report to these locations EVERY DAY.
CHILDREN’S ATTIRE
Have your child wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes (no flip flops) and clothing you don’t mind them getting dirty or stained. Everyone will be tie-dying during the week.

CHILD PICK-UP
No child nursery through 8th grade can be dismissed from class except to a parent. VBS parents should pick up children from Memorial Hall promptly at noon. CSK parents will pick up outside the Chapel. Older siblings, grandparents, nannies, etc may pick up children only with a note from a parent giving permission.
In accordance with Countryside’s Child Safety Policy, all children must be picked up at their classroom by a parent. If a parent is unable to pick up their child, we need written permission with the name of the person who will be picking up your child that day. Please read the form below and pick one up at church when you drop your child off in the morning.  Give the form to his/her teacher. Although it may be a small inconvenience, we appreciate your help in keeping your child safe and accounted for.
We wil have early dismissal on Friday.  All parents are asked to go to Memorial Hall at 10:45 AM to watch a short program and VBS will be over by 11:00 AM.
We are looking forward to a great week!
